Insight Public Safety Practice Lead (BDM) The Public Safety Practice Leader will spearhead growth and expansion of our technology solutions within public safety entities, including first responders, justice departments, and corrections. This is supporting our western region. This role demands a strategic visionary with deep industry knowledge to identify and drive new revenue streams by leveraging technology solutions to address public safety needs. The leader will work closely with SLED Client Executives, Solution Experts and key technology partners to expand the Insight Public Safety footprint.
Insight Public Safety Practice Lead is expected to develop and deploy a full GTM strategy with industry specific thought leadership, speaking at conferences, creating marketing campaigns, whitepapers and RFP content that will set Insight apart from other solution integrators. Responsible to develop and maintain relationships with key Public Safety Leaders and technology partners that deliver specialized Public Safety solutions
What you’ll do at Insight:
Achieve/exceed quarterly sales targets tie to the public safety segment across a specific geography Effectively communicate the Insight Public Sector value proposition and customize it specifically for Public Safety. Present the message in large and small group settings, participating on panels, hosting webinars and engaging in C-level meetings with ease. Develop and deploy an overall GTM plan for Public Safety to maximize Insight’s integrated solution offerings. This includes assisting with marketing campaign development, whitepapers, RFP content and providing quarterly business review for Insight leadership. Secure multiple C-level meetings with Public Safety leaders each month to include the Client Executives, Technical Experts and Client Solution Directors and represent Insight at industry events. Build a qualified 2.5x pipeline maintained in Salesforce by personally uncovering opportunities in existing or new Public Safety accounts and working SLED Client Executives / technology partners. Lead negotiations on complex technology implementations understanding the key drivers and cost models to overcome objections and capture business. Be an industry expert with continuous knowledge development on the leading technology and overall Public Safety trends. Build and maintain relationships with top Public Safety technology partners.
Sales Enablement:
Enable sales and sales support teams on Public Safety programs and solutions. Promote Insights Public Safety solutions portfolio to Public Safety partner sales teams.

What you’ll need to join Insight
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology or a related field preferred and Master’s degree welcome. Military or Public Safety background required 10+ years’ experience with Public Safety technology (selling or deploying) with a proven track record of success. Strong understanding of government procurement process & public safety grant funding. Ability to manage relationships with both internal and external business stakeholders in addition to technical pre-sales partners, delivery, and sales teams Experience working in a matrix organization that find success through teamwork and collaboration. Proven technical expertise Consistently demonstrates attention to detail. Strong customer service skills. Strong research and analytical ability. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and able to work across groups to drive successful client outcomes. Ability to build cost models and proposal documentation models for clients, including ROI/TCO and RFP content. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated to drive success as part of a team effort, and to successfully operate in an evolving, flexible, virtual operating environment.
The base salary range for this position is typically $80,000 to $115,000 with additional bonus and benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
