environments are safe secure and more prepared for all of our patients visitors colleagues clinicians and physicians Public Safety Officers are equipped to prevent hazardous situations with their presence respond and manage hazardous and emergency situations and provide support and resources when situations are successfully managedmiddotProvides professional customer service focused assistance to the HHC Community including patients visitors families colleagues clinicians physicians and the first responder community among othersmiddotPatrols and rounds facility to identify concerning activity safety concerns or other problems May be assigned to fixed areas to check credentials provide information or directions When assigned to mobile patrols operates vehicles in a safe manner complying with all traffic and safety rulesmiddotProvides a timely response uses problem solving to take appropriate action to manage and investigate security incidents and hazardsmiddotMaintain current knowledge of instructions policies and procedures and performs work in accordance with these guidelinesmiddotShares information with other Public Safety Officers maintains accurate activity logs and completes reports and documentationmiddotPartners with law enforcement and other first responders when circumstances warrantmiddotInforms supervisor or other leadership of unusual situations
