Data Connects Us. **About the Role:** The Federal Account Executive will be key in driving Confluent's sales activities in the Public Sector. This role includes developing and executing the go-to-market strategy within the SLED and Civilian Agency space. The ideal candidate must have experience selling complex Databases, Messaging, Big Data, Open Source, and/or Cloud solutions. **What You Will Do:** + Build awareness for Kafka and Confluent within large enterprises + Aggressively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop sales pipeline + Close business to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings objectives + Build strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities + Build and maintain relationships with new and existing Confluent partners + Create and execute go-to-market plans that are based on viral methods and organic growth **What You Will Bring:** + 6+ years of full-cycle selling experience + Candidates located in DC, MD, and VA preferred + Successful Data integration/analytic sales experience to SLED & Civilian Financials agencies. + Deep experience selling within the Database, Open Source, Messaging, Cloud, and/or Big Data space. + Significant experience in a Sales or Sales Engineering role within a similar start-up and high-growth organization + An ability to articulate and sell the business value of big data and the big impact on businesses of all sizes + Impeccable planning and methodology-driven AEs, with a high level of Empathy for our clients. + The ability to complete a security clearance background check. **Come As You Are** At Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $131,400 - $154,395, a competitive equity package and is also eligible for additional commission and/or bonus pay.
