ROLE OVERVIEW 

The Public Space Attendant, Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the operation of the Housekeeping Department in an attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous manner, providing all team members with quality service and a clean and safe environment throughout their employ, while efficiently managing expenses and maximizing service levels. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of team members Maintains master schedule for team members Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques Makes rounds to check for coverage of designated work areas, assigns needed coverage, gives special cleaning instructions and|or assignments, and ascertains compliance with directives Determines material, supplies, and equipment needs; completes requisitions for cleaning supplies, equipment repairs and materials Responds to inquiries in a courteous manner; provides information and service within the area; resolves complaints|concerns in an efficient and timely manner Ensures that safety plans are fully in place, that all Public Space Attendants are trained on proper safety issues, and that all safety policies are followed Assists with the annual department budget preparation Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work Cleans floors, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing Cleans bathrooms, including sinks, mirrors, urinals, toilets, and walls Dusts areas that contain furniture, such as offices, cleans windows Operates equipment required for cleaning and sanitation services

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Five plus years of supervisory experience as a Supervisor or Manager of Housekeeping in a corporate or hospitality industry High School Diploma or equivalent work experience Position requires walking and standing for most of the shift; may be subject to adverse conditions; may be required to work with hazardous substances; irregular hours will be required Excellent written and verbal communication skills English, additional language(s) an advantage Schedule of this position: Core business hours | Monday through Friday
