Description Fully REMOTE Opportunity! We are in search of a Public Staff Tax Accountant to assist a top CPA firm on a fully remote basis. Responsibilities: • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate • Prepare individual, S-Corp and C-Corp returns • Handle individual and corporate tax matters, adhering to compliance regulations • Use intermediate Excel functions including pivot tables and v-lookups to manage and analyze data • Oversee sales tax matters, ensuring all records are accurate and in compliance with regulations Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a CPA firm or similar industry • Proficiency in CCH Axcess • Strong knowledge of Payroll Taxes, Bank Reconciliations, and Sales Tax • Proven track record in maintaining compliance with tax laws and regulations • Excellent interpersonal skills for client interaction • Experience in entering journal entries • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) track or license is a plus, but not required. • Solid analytical and decision-making skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
