Publicist, TOR

Tor Publishing Group is seeking a Publicist to work on titles across the Tor, Forge, Bramble, TorDotCom, Nightfire, Tor Teen/and Starscape imprints. Reporting to the Senior Publicity Manager, this individual will be a key team member responsible for creating and executing multiple publicity campaigns across a wide variety of genres, including commercial fiction, thrillers, nonfiction, science fiction/fantasy, romance, horror, YA and middle grade titles. This role will lean towards the romance genre. 

What you'll do:

Creating original and compelling publicity campaigns for multiple titles per season Planning and executing multi-city book tours and author appearances, including coordinating book signings, arranging travel and creating comprehensive tour schedules Pitching and securing top national, regional, and local media, including print, radio, television, and online outlets Writing press materials, including compelling press releases and creative pitch letters Work closely and collaboratively with publicity team, as well as authors, publishers, editors, sales and marketing teams Develop, cultivate, and maintain substantive relationships with media Represent TPG at industry events, conferences and trade show

Ideal Experience / Education:

3+ years of publicity experience with a well-rounded knowledge of trade book publishing A proven track record for successful media campaigns and strong media relationships

This role will have an annual salary range of $58,000 - $62,000.
