Job Summary:
HealthAlliance Hospital, part of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician to join our team. This position is primarily outpatient-focused, with an emphasis on pulmonary and sleep medicine, while also providing limited inpatient consultative and ICU coverage opportunities. Responsibilities:
+ Outpatient Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine:
+ Diagnose and manage a range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary nodules.
+ Provide evaluation and treatment for sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia.
+ Interpret pulmonary function tests.
+ Work closely with referring providers and respiratory therapists to optimize patient care.
+ Inpatient Consultative Services
+ Provide pulmonary consultations for hospitalized patients on an as-needed basis.
+ Work closely with the hospital’s medical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
+ ICU Coverage
+ Participate in occasional ICU rounding or consults, offering critical care expertise.
+ Collaborate with ICU nurses and physicians to manage critically ill patients as needed.
+ Team Collaboration & Leadership
+ Partner with advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
+ Participate in departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and hospital committees.
+ Documentation & Compliance
+ Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records.
+ Follow hospital guidelines for billing, coding, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications / Requirements:
+ MD or DO degree.
+ Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
+ Additional Sleep Medicine certification or interest in sleep medicine is preferred but not required.
+ Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
