Pulmonary Function Specialist - Part Time
Job Description​

We are seeking a Pulmonary Function Specialist to join our Pulmonary clinic at the east location! This position will work in our embedded PFT lab completing pulmonary function tests, 6-minute walks, and breathing treatments. You must be able to clearly communicate to your patient what you need them to do and remain calm if the patient is unable to perform the task. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills; our clinic sees both scheduled patients and walk-ins. Patients may be inpatient with the hospital and sent down without notice. Therefore, you must be able to switch gears rapidly and still keep patients on schedule for their provider appointments. The entire job description is below.

Performs all aspects of cardiopulmonary functions assessment and care as outlines in clinical standards of practice. Performing of pulmonary rehabilitation, diagnostic cardiopulmonary function and metabolic testing, assessment based therapeutic interventions and the analysis and reporting of clinical findings. Collect and assess history and physical information, diagnostic testing and review of quality and clinical data pursuant to the development and monitoring of planned interventions in collaboration with the medical staff. Supports and participates in inter intra departmental meetings, performance improvement activities, continuing education, professional growth and development activities and performs other duties as assigned within the respiratory therapy department.

Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift.

*Respiratory Therapy license required. Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) also required but if the ideal candidate does not possess this credential, he/she may be given an offer contingent upon completion within 90 days of start date.

Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Cert Pulmonary Function Tech (NBRC) - The National Board for Respiratory Care, License-Respiratory Therapy - Various

Associate Degree
