You will perform and analyze quality control data and perform advanced invasive or noninvasive protocols. Opportunities will be provided to share educational in-services to staff, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants. **A caregiver in this position works day shift Monday-Friday.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform lung diagnostic testing and will coach patients to perform procedures to quality standards. + Evaluate safety in walking patients (6 minute walk tests), obtain ABGs and indentify medical alert values. + Be passionate with strong empathy skills. + Prioritize multitasking in a face-paced environment. + Work well in a collaborative, team-based setting. Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include: + Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. + Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) + Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure + Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience Preferred qualifications include: + Certified and/or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT, RPFT) credentialing through the NBRC + Asthma Educator Specialist (AE-C) credentialing through the NBRC + 3+ years of critical care patient experience + Previous pulmonary function testing experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
