Saint Luke’s Pulmonary Specialists in Kansas City are seeking a BC/BE physician for a combined Pulmonology, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine position. The role requires a fellowship in Pulmonology/Critical Care, as well as a fellowship in Sleep Medicine. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice across these interconnected specialties, providing comprehensive care to patients.
About the position:
Saint Luke’s Pulmonary Specialists (SLPS) encompasses a robust pulmonary and critical care department that includes an interventional bronchoscopy program, a multidisciplinary thoracic clinic, and a busy sleep department that includes an Inspire program
SLPS provides pulmonary and critical care services at all four Saint Luke’s hospitals including Saint Luke’s East Hospital
Duties will include clinical pulmonary, sleep and critical care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings as well as telemedicine clinics and protected sleep study reading time
SLPS currently manages and interprets sleep studies for currently three sleep labs in the metropolitan area, all of which are AASM accredited, and we have an ever-growing Home Sleep Testing Program, operating out of five locations
Our sleep program currently includes BC/BE sleep physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, DME coordinator support, and excellent certified sleep technicians
The team has close working relationships with ENT, psychiatry, cardiology, and others, for a streamlined referral network, as well as established relationships with local dentists who have expertise in making oral appliances
The practice is affiliated with the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Medical School and this provides opportunities for teaching medical students, residents and fellows
