Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner (NP), UHS Wilson Place United Health Services is seeking a Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Pulmonary 04 department at UHS Wilson Place in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift: Day Hours per week: 42 Salary range: Depends on Experience Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Overview We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our Out-Patient Pulmonary Medicine practice at 52 Harrison Street, Johnson City NY located physically adjacent to the UHS Wilson campus. We are excited to add this NP position due to growth and this NP would work collaboratively within our group of five, triple board-certified physicians and 1 Nurse Practitioner. This position would be expected to work independently with close physician supervision. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, patience and a comfort level when dealing with patients that have multiple chronic illnesses. While we would anticipate this APP to make diagnoses, order and interpret lab tests and prescribe therapies, we understand that not all presentations are straightforward. Therefore, within our collaborative environment, there will always be opportunity for discussion and/or oversight regarding any of the above clinical roles. Requirements and skills ● Active and unrestricted license in New York State or ability to obtain by start date ● Graduate of an accredited Master of Science Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice program ● Active Nurse Practitioner certification through a national board ● Current, active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations Opportunity Details ● Full-Time Position with benefits ● Schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off (alternating with the solo incumbent NP) ● Hours 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Key Responsibilities and Expectations
