What Your Day Will Look Like:

As the pumping systems technical practice leader, you will balance a variety of management, project delivery, business development, and technical expert tasks. You’ll be considered a subject matter expert for pumping systems internally and externally as demonstrated through your project design experience, publications, participation in professional associations, and presentations. The technical practice leader reports to the technical services director.

What You'll Do:

Deliver pumping system projects and use quality management process to minimize risk and maintain quality of work. Participate in risk assessments as well as project failure reviews to identify lessons learned and adjust procedures for subsequent projects. Coordinate with operations staff to assist with workload balancing project management tasks.Provide tools, technical guidance, staffing recommendations, quality reviews and reference material related to pumping systems for Client Service Managers and Project Managers and support staff to adhere to the Quality ProgramTrack and communicate trends of relevant bet practices, lessons learned, technological innovations, risk mitigation, competitor differentiators, and project quality review needs. Regular communicate this information through group meetings, presentations, Intranet posts, and emails.Ensure core standard specifications, standard details, templates, guidance and other Consor means and methods are current, relevant, and accessible. Manage relevant subject manner on Consor’s intranet.Coordinate with Marketing and Business Development to develop strategies for increasing market share, to include R&D opportunities, pilot studies, third party technology validation testing, and adoption and implementation of new technologies and approaches. Coordinate with business development teams as a primary support on strategic pursuits and key teaming discussions. Participate in and support proposal processes.Support, advocate for, coach, and review technical practice group participants in their pursuit of subject matter Expert career development paths. Review skills matrix annually to ensure it accurately reflects the capability and skill level of subject matter experts withing the technical practice group.Actively engage in relevant professional associations through committee work, authorship of articles, papers, and presentations, and board positions.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, chemical, construction management, business or public administration, or related field for subject matter area. Minimum ten years experience with pumping system technical practices and industry engagementProficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.). CADD, Revit, and other software (GIS, etc.) skills will be considered a plus.This office job primarily operates in a professional office and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. May occasionally be exposed to noise. While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include constantly sitting, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and occasional standing, moving, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and coordination. This job will rarely require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
