NexGen is looking for a Purchase Coordinator - QSEM to join their growing team in Lexington, KY.

Position Overview:
We have an immediate need for an entry level Purchase Coordinator. This role will primarily support Procurement Managers and Specialists in managing the procurement activities on various projects. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all daily SubBase activities, purchase requests, and all other orders for each project. Lead purchase requests by coordinating in advance with each Project Manager to identify their needs for each project.Work closely with each project’s assigned Superintendent to help reduce order lead times.Communicate daily with the assigned purchase requester of each project to ensure all activities are captured in SubBase and are continuously monitored and updated daily as required.Work closely with the rental equipment PM to coordinate all equipment needs for each project.Coordinate with the Safety Team to manage, track, and order all division’s PPE inventory. Manage all division’s supply and logistics activities as required. Manage monthly tool inventory reports. Manage and coordinate all Hilti tool orders for each project.Demonstrate ability to lead small project teams, supporting large construction projects. Strong attention to detail and must possess excellent written and communication skills.Be well organized, engaged, flexible and self-motivated. Ensure division and project team compliance related to NexGen’s documented processes and procedures. Strong commercial awareness & problem-solving skills. Follow purchasing and procurement policies to ensure all equipment is purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints. Monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.Continuous improvement of purchasing processes and policies to accommodate changing organizational needs and market conditions.Other duties as assigned.Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time (in-state and out-of-state).

 

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, (or closely related field) preferred.0-2 years of industry experience within a procurement role or any equivalent combination of experience and education.Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, CMIC, or similar project management software.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and present to stakeholders.Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.

 

Frequently in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled.  Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.  May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations.  Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud.  

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
