The Purchasing Agent job in Auburn, Maine is responsible for managing relationships with key suppliers and negotiating contracts with vendors. You’ll have a solid understanding of scheduling what specific products are to be manufactured at each facility, each day. As well as, sourcing and purchasing all raw materials including food ingredients and packaging for both locations.This is a full-time position.  

Purchasing Agent Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business or equivalent experience 2 to 3 years of experience as an entry-level buyer in a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing experience is highly preferred Experience with verification activities related to FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) A holistic knowledge of production scheduling will be needed, with production scheduling experience being a huge plus Systems-focused with knowledge of inventory management and raw material purchasing software; well versed in MS Office – particularly Excel

Purchasing Agent Details: 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full time Pay Rate: Pay in the range of $70,000 - $80,000 per year, DOE Start Date: ASAP
