Purchasing Agent ISalary Range: $65,.00 – $75,000 yearlyLocation: Houston, TX 77027Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm You won’t want to pass up this opportunity to get your foot in the door as a recent graduate with a degree in Supply chain and 1-2 years of internship experience or purchasing experience with an amazing homebuilder in the Galleria area.  Responsibilities:Use discretion and independent judgment to negotiate pricing and rebate agreements with major suppliers and contractors.Manage vendor/product improvements and changesFacilitate the set-up of new Company subdivisions.Resolve disputes with suppliers and rectify vendor and product issues in the fieldEstablish pricing and costs for estimating.  List Qualification or Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business or a Construction related field.Preferred 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, operations or estimating.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not requiredDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of estimating and purchasing principles as well as residential construction practices and materials.Must be able to read blueprints.Effective negotiating skills.Availability to travel as needed in Houston and other Texas markets.Demonstrated computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.Current, valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.  Details:Compensation: $65k-75kWork Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid – 4 days a week in office and 1 day remote.  8 AM to 5 PM. Benefits: Free parking, free lunch provided for in office days Benefits and Perks:Weekly pay periods and direct deposit.Join a collaborative and supportive work environment.During your employment with The Reserves Network, you can enroll in our benefits program, including medical (3 plans to choose from), dental, disability, critical illness, life, vision, accident, and behavioral health insurance.
