The Purchasing Agent will support our project teams in sourcing and purchasing materials and services necessary to complete our construction projects. This role requires attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment **Responsibilities** Reporting to the Manager, the Purchasing Agent role will: + Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials and equipment for construction projects + Communicate with suppliers and the project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials + Assist in negotiating prices with our suppliers + Collaborate with our project teams and other departments to understand material requirements + Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures in procurement activities + Collaborate with our project teams to resolve any issues related to purchased material. + Assist in resolving invoicing issues with our vendors + Confirming delivery instructions and locations + Provide support in generating product submittals + Work with Accounts Payable department directly to resolve outstanding invoice issues related to Purchase Orders + Manage and promote relationships with preferred suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts **Basic Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience + 0 – 3 years of relevant work experience + Well organized and detail-oriented + Self-starter and able to work independently + Strong communication and customer service skills + Experience with Microsoft Office Products + Alignment to C3M's Standards of Excellence: Self-Motivated, Results Oriented, Adaptable, Team Player, Accountable, Ethical, Innovative, Resilient, Builds Relationships, Builds People / Teams & Followership, Sets Direction & Executes **Preferred Qualifications** + Prior purchasing experience + Experience with Coupa Platform + Knowledge of the Construction Industry + Knowledge of Electrical Construction C3M Power Systems Full-service electrical contractor with the experience and capabilities to construct, rehabilitate, and maintain electrical and special systems for railways, airports, highways and utilities nationwide.
