Job Description
An employer is looking to add a Purchasing Agent to their team in Earth City, MO. This person will be responsible for creating purchase orders based on stock needs and managing process flow to ensure orders are delivered. They will be responsible for reviewing warehouse inventory through SAP reports to determine purchase order requests and assist in fielding questions from the sales team to provide lead times, product information, or vendor information. They will work closely with the Purchasing Assistant to follow up on order issues, orders that have not shipped, or incomplete orders and reconcile all discrepancies on purchase orders. They will review custom direct ship orders to ensure accuracy, manage pricing structures from a multitude of vendors, distributors, and products, and setup new vendor and new items in our database. This person will be responsible for reviewing vendor specific programs to determine validity and cost savings and monitor vendor performance to ensure orders are delivering timely and accurately.

Skills and Requirements
3+ years' experience in a Buyer or Inventory Management role
Strong data analytics skills
Intermediate level Excel user (v-lookups, pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Office platform including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Business Models (emphasis in Inventory Management preferred) or High-School Diploma/GED SAP Business One experience
Demonstrates ability to prioritize and problem solve
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively across internal department, as well as external relationships with vendors and manufacturers. null
