Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will procure supplies and equipment through a variety of informal open market procedures, mandatory sources of supply and Federal Supply schedules. You will receive and review all purchase requests for expendable and nonexpendable material to determine whether to meet the requirement by either ordering against an existing contract or through open market/small purchase procedures. You will review purchase requests for required justification, completeness, administrative information, adherence to federal specifications, required information, etc. You will take or recommend action including disapproval of requests for non-authorized items based on standard operating procedures and interpretation of regulatory material. You will be required to maintain a file of purchase transactions showing status of various purchases, invoices, and customer receipt verification. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Perform a variety of related tasks using simple noncompetitive purchasing methods by placing orders using different processes and methods to make a variety of competitive or sole source small purchases and/or against various established contracts and agreements; use different solicitation methods, ordering or reporting procedures, purchasing methods, or clauses and provisions depending on the type, quantity, dollar value, or urgency of the requirement; interpret and apply established procedures, policies and regulations for the Government Purchase Card (GPC) program; and use effective communication with internal customers and external vendors. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: I have successfully completed 4 years of education above high school level OR I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education. See Required Documents for additional information. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
