Description We are offering a contract for a Purchasing Agent role in the manufacturing sector, based in Amelia, Ohio, United States. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be tasked with facilitating customer service, managing purchase activities, and coordinating manufacturing schedules. Responsibilities • Execute purchasing functions and order entry tasks efficiently • Maintain precise records of purchases and materials ordered • Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service • Schedule manufacturing activities and monitor the progress of orders • Track and monitor raw material inventory, initiating purchase when necessary • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and other administrative tasks • Collaborate with the shipping department to ensure the correct paperwork is prepared • Carry out other purchasing activities as needed to support the manufacturing process. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Purchasing Agent role or a similar position. • Proficiency in performing various purchasing activities is mandatory. • Experience in handling all aspects of purchasing functions is required. • Familiarity with purchasing materials and understanding of the procurement process is essential. • Proficiency in order entry and data entry is necessary. • Excellent customer service skills are required. • Prior experience or knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a significant plus.
