Description We are offering a contract for a Purchasing Agent position in the Financial Services industry, based in Ontario, California. In this role, you will be executing contracts, managing inventory, and liaising with other technology companies. Your understanding of various expenses, coding, and the correct procurement category will be crucial to your success in this role. Responsibilities: • Negotiate contracts and prices to ensure the best deals for the company • Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions based on company needs • Collaborate with technology companies in the procurement of intangible assets • Classify expenses accurately using the correct coding and procurement categories • Ensure that purchase orders are properly issued before invoice payments are made • Utilize accounting software systems, including Epicor and Great Plains, to manage procurement and budget processes • Handle accounts payable duties, including processing debits and credits • Implement ERP solutions for efficient resource planning and buying processes • Stay updated with digital technology trends relevant to the purchasing function • Perform other accounting functions as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. • Must have experience with Epicor software. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required. • Proficiency in ERP Solutions is necessary. • Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is preferred. • About Time software knowledge is a plus. • Must have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions. • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is required. • Familiarity with Budget Processes is necessary. • Proficiency in managing Buying Processes is essential. • Prior experience as a Buyer in the financial sector is preferred. • Must be proficient in using Digital Technology. • Knowledge of Debits management is required. • Must have a good understanding of Credit management.
