Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Burlington, New Jersey. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be expected to handle the entire purchasing process from reviewing sales orders to final shipment of completed systems. You will be working closely with project teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations and avoid delays. Responsibilities • Review sales orders received from Engineers and prepare corresponding purchase orders for vendors. • Coordinate with Project Management regarding delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. • Liaise with project teams and vendors to prevent delays caused by material shortages. • Enter receiving into the company's accounting system, ensuring accurate tracking of products. • Manage material returns effectively to maintain inventory levels. • Oversee the entire purchasing process from receiving an order from the customer to shipping out the completed system. • Utilize ERP Solutions and Accounting Software Systems to streamline the purchasing process. • Contribute to Budget Processes and Buying Processes to optimize resource allocation. • Work with software like Epicor, Great Plains (GPAC), and About Time to enhance productivity and efficiency. • Handle Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) related tasks as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Purchasing Agent role or similar. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. • Prior experience with Epicor software is preferred. • Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is desirable. • Strong understanding of Accounting Functions is vital. • Previous experience with Accounts Payable is required. • Understanding of Budget Processes is necessary. • Knowledge of Buying Processes is essential.
