Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will purchase material/services within Government Purchase Card warrant authority. You will review purchase requests, convert purchase orders, and receipt material/services in the Accountable Property System of Record (Maximo). You will provide status of material deliveries and follow up on overdue material. You will contact vendors for incorrect or incomplete deliveries. You will make recommendations on long lead time material, critical spare parts, recurring requirements for IDIQ contracts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Applying supply and purchasing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions to search for information, make specialized purchases, and provide supply support using Government Purchase Card; 2) Communicating effectively both orally and in writing with vendors, customers, and other Government offices to negotiate costs and delivery, provide status updates, and resolve issues; 3) Reviewing purchase requests, convert purchase orders, and receipt material/services in the Accountable Property System of Record (Maximo); 4) Preparing and maintaining records, reconcile reports/data, research and reconcile discrepancies for actions such as material ordering, shipping, tracking, receipt, and invoices. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments. Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary. However, some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items that weigh less than 20 pounds will be required. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Work Environment: Majority of the work will be performed in an office setting with no unusual risks or hazards. Normal office safety precautions are in effect.
