Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will support procurement activities, maintain procurement files, and coordinate material needs with production and warehouse teams. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesRun open order reports and communicate with suppliers via emailIssue Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with vendors as required and send necessary files for fabricationSupport the implementation and maintenance of procurement policies and proceduresMaintain procurement files in accordance with company policies and proceduresAssist in monitoring and coordinating material needs with production and warehouse teamsOrder and maintain office suppliesAssume other tasks or projects as neededEssential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferredWorking knowledge of ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentationExcellent organizational and time management skillsEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentTeam-player mentality and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsAdditional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of production-type environment is preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of productsStrong mathematical skills for price analysis and cost calculationsAbility to adapt and learn new processes and systems quicklyDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesWork Environment
You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that values teamwork and effective communication. The role involves interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders and requires the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Dress code is business casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
