Purchasing Agent Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will support procurement activities, maintain procurement files, and coordinate material needs with production and warehouse teams. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities + Run open order reports and communicate with suppliers via email + Issue Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with vendors as required and send necessary files for fabrication + Support the implementation and maintenance of procurement policies and procedures + Maintain procurement files in accordance with company policies and procedures + Assist in monitoring and coordinating material needs with production and warehouse teams + Order and maintain office supplies + Assume other tasks or projects as needed Essential Skills + High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred + Working knowledge of Excel + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation + Excellent organizational and time management skills + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal + Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills + Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment + Team-player mentality and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Additional Skills & Qualifications + Understanding of production-type environment is preferred + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products + Strong mathematical skills for price analysis and cost calculations + Ability to adapt and learn new processes and systems quickly + Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information + Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Work Environment You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that values teamwork and effective communication. The role involves interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders and requires the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Dress code is business casual. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
