Purchasing Agent III
As a Purchasing Agent III, you’ll be using your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. You'll be responsible for qualifying our vendors, monitoring our vendor quality, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our vendor information. You will learn how to do all orders by SNC procedures and applicable laws. Procurements can include multiple commodities and may be higher dollar,
requiring Price Analysis and PO File Documentation.

Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of exciting programs and platforms in the aerospace and defense industry.

Responsibilities:

Solicit RFx's to Suppliers (sole/single source and competitive) 
Evaluate Quotes/Proposals received
Complete and document Price Analysis
Negotiate various elements of quotes/proposals,terms and conditions
Write detailed Procurement Summaries as required
Fully document Purchase Order Files
Work closely with programs and other functional areas such as planning, operations and finance


Must-haves:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceRelevant experience may be considered in lieu of required educationProcurement experience


Preferred:

Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) complianceStrong understanding of all aspects of finance and accounting related to procurementComplete understanding of the full cycle of procurement processes

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
