Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Purchasing Analyst works closely with the direct procurement team which is responsible for food and packaging procurement and is a key contributor to provide reporting, forecasting, pricing compliance, and other valuable insights to supply chain leadership teams. This role is responsible for utilizing existing applications to bring visibility to the performance of suppliers and supply chain partners.

Job Description

Procurement support:

Supply and Demand Planning (Forecasting)Maintains forecasting tool(s) comparing actuals to the forecastSupports demand planning and forecasting functions by maintaining and communicating forecasted demand for procurement managers and vendor partnersMonitors inventory management systems for key items, depletion, and transition timing for new/promo items and advising procurement managersDevelops new tools and dashboards to provide best available information to the teamReporting and AnalyticsCreates and maintains periodic reporting for procurement and supply chain (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) linking multiple data sets into useful reports designed to support supply chain functionsDevelops ad-hoc reporting to support on-demand requests for supply chain and other Raising Cane’s departmentsMaintains a daily record of commodity price changes and develop analysis to assist purchasing managers’ decisions and corroborate vendor recommendationsPricing Maintenance and ComplianceUpdates pricing within supply chain software ensuring accurate and timely price changes ensuring compliance across systemAnalyzes pricing from current and prospective vendors to assist purchasing managersAssists with the drafting of communications to restaurant and DCsSupports management of select direct spend vendors

Services Support:

Follows up on urgent service issues dailyMonitors and follows up on non-urgent requests including equipment exchange, billing questions, service level adjustmentsAudits invoices to determine trends and find discrepanciesMaintains service channel reporting and metric reporting

 Company Growth Support:

Enhances personal performance by continuously developing skills in Microsoft applications, attending industry events, visiting suppliers and partners, and testing and supporting the implementation of new software applicationsProvides operational support as needed during times of severe weather and crisis recoverySupports ad hoc requests within the Supply Chain teamProvides key customer service assistance responding to operator requests.Assists the supply chain team with projects to help achieve company goalsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in an applicable field or broad restaurant operations - this is an entry level position that is intended to grow and develop the individual within Raising Cane’sAble to make decisions with less than complete information to ensure projects are completed on time and meet target deadlinesHighly analytical with technical ability to easily extract data, build reports, and interpret dataExperience building PowerPoint presentations that will be used to communicate pertinent information to senior leadershipAble to conduct analytics that balance costs, timelines, and practical considerations to make the best decisionsDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changingSelf-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skillsAble to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaborativelyMust maintain confidential informationMicrosoft proficient: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and WordAble to work in a high-pace environment which may require responding to issues after hours and on the weekendsAble to travel up to 5%Able to work full time out of the Dallas Restaurant Support Office located in Plano, TXAdditional Information
