Purchasing Assistant (Administrative)
Adecco is currently assisting a great client in their search for an experienced **Purchasing Assistant (Administrative)** in Salem, VA. **PLEASE NOTE:** This is an onsite, in-office role only. No other options available. 9 to 12yrs of previous experience required. **Type:** 40hrs/wk. Contract **Start Date:** Within two to three weeks. **Location** : Intersect of Colorado Street and Rowan Street in Salem, VA. Please make sure this commute works for you prior to applying. **Hours** : 8am to 5pm; M-F **Pay:** $25.00 to $ 25.00/hr **Length:** Long Term Responsibilities for the **Purchasing Assistant (Administrative)** role include: + Processing purchasing requests, new supplier requests, and reporting. + Provide complex purchasing support to the team. + Maintaining vendor information by adding new profiles or updating existing accounts. + Resolve issues that arise with vendors. + Keep accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and other documents. + Accurately input data entry into the purchasing system (either ERP or spreadsheets). + Preparing reports for purchasing spending analysis and supplier performance. Qualifications for this **Purchasing Assistant (Administrative)** role: + **Mandatory 9 to 12 years of direct experience working within administrative purchasing** . + Completed college degree preferred, but not required. + Must have strong focus and attention to detail. + Excellent verbal and written communication required. **Pay Details:** $25.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
