Are you detail-oriented and passionate about ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes? We're looking for a Facility Purchasing Clerk to support the maintenance and operation of our milk production facility. In this role, you’ll be responsible for procuring essential supplies and services needed to keep our facility running efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. What you will be doing 

As a Facility Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of supplies, tools, and services that keep our facility operational. You'll also play a critical role in ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, maintaining company purchasing policies, and upholding strict adherence to budgetary and audit requirements.  

The position will be based in Tempe, AZ.  

Main responsibilities 

Source and purchase maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment required for facility operations while ensuring compliance with SOX regulations.  Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely procurement of critical materials.  Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts and pricing for facility-related purchases, while adhering to company policies.  Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory levels, ensuring all documentation meets SOX and internal audit standards.  Monitor inventory of maintenance and operational supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and compliance with purchasing procedures.  Coordinate with maintenance teams to forecast material and tool needs for preventive maintenance while maintaining regulatory and company standards.  Assist in managing contracts for facility services, such as HVAC, janitorial, and equipment repairs, ensuring all agreements align with company policies.  Ensure strict compliance with company purchasing policies, budgetary constraints, and SOX requirements.  Prepare reports on purchasing activities, costs, and vendor performance for management review and audit purposes.  Assist with administrative tasks related to facility management, procurement, and compliance. 

What we are searching for. 

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.  Previous experience in purchasing or procurement, especially in a manufacturing or production environment.  Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, internal auditing procedures, and company policy adherence.  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  Proficiency in purchasing software and inventory management systems.  Excellent communication and negotiation skills.  Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.  Basic understanding of facility maintenance and operational needs is an advantage.  Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance and production staff.  Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime as needed.
