We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Management team, specifically focusing on Durable Medical Equipment (DME). As the Purchasing Coordinator for Health System Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the procurement of essential medical equipment and supplies required for our healthcare operations. You will collaborate closely with senior purchasing agents, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of DME products. ๐Ÿš€ About the Position + Assist in sourcing and procuring Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and related supplies required by various departments within the health system, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. + Prepare purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms. + Monitor inventory levels of DME and related supplies to prevent shortages and ensure adequate stock availability. + Monitor and complete internal requests via ERP system in a timely manner. + Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to circumvent backorders by finding substitute items. + Assist in evaluating supplier performance based on quality, reliability, and responsiveness to ensure optimal vendor relationships. + Support the implementation of procurement strategies and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs within the HSS procurement function. + Provide administrative support to the purchasing team, including data entry, filing, and generating reports as needed. ๐ŸŒŸ What Weโ€™re Looking For + Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. + Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. ๐ŸŽ“ Qualifications for Success + Bachelorโ€™s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred OR two (2) years or more of procurement experience. + Previous experience in healthcare procurement, particularly with Durable Medical Equipment (DME), is highly desirable. + Knowledge of DME products, medical terminology, and healthcare regulatory requirements. + Ability to frequently lift and move items up to twenty (20) pounds. โœ”๏ธ Benefits + Competitive starting pay + Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance for full-time employees. + 401K with company match + PTO, Vacation, and Paid Holidays ๐Ÿ’ธ Compensation + $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, dependent on experience ๐Ÿ•’ Shift + 8:30am โ€“ 5:00pm, Monday โ€“ Friday ๐Ÿฃ Location + Wheatfield, NY
