Purchasing Coordinator
**Position:** Purchasing Coordinator **Location:** Stanhope, NJ **Shift:** Monday-Friday; 8am-4pm **Job Description:** The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the procurement process for materials, supplies, and services required by the organization. This role ensures timely and cost-effective purchases while maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. **Essential Duties:** Research potential vendors, negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing. Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers. Track orders and ensure timely delivery. Review quality of purchased products and dispose of expired or damaged products. Maintain updated records in electronic system of purchased products, delivery information, invoices, and assets. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses. Monitor inventory and place orders as needed. Coordinate with staff to ensure proper distribution of supplies. Assist in coordinating recreational activities as needed. Manage receipts for all purchases; reconcile credit card statement(s) monthly. Travel as needed and maintain assigned vehicle through monthly inspection and implementation of Agency vehicle procedures. Provide direct care as needed including; assisting clients with daily living activities, administration of medications, provide transportation to appointments and recreational activities. **Qualifications:** *The employee must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training and essential duties to include the following; but not limited to: American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR and recertification every two years. Agency approved Crisis Management and recertification annually. Initial Medication Administration with on-site competency assessment and annually thereafter. Initial Preventing Abuse and Neglect with on-site competency assessment and annually thereafter. Positive Behavior Supports. 12 hours of professional development annually per calendar year prorated at one hour per month. Specialized Training as required. *The employee shall be 18 years of age or older and possess a driver’s license valid in the State of New Jersey (probational licenses are not accepted). *The employee must submit to a criminal background check, and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals. *The employee must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. *The employees hired after 6/15/2018 shall submit to drug testing prior to employment. *All direct care employees shall submit to drug testing conducted randomly and for cause. *All employees shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI); *All employees must demonstrate successful completion of a Pre-employment physical; Pre-employment tuberculosis test as required by The State of New Jersey Department of Human Services. *Clearance based on a 3-year and annual motor vehicle abstract assessment. **Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
