Purchasing Director
MAU is hiring a Purchasing Manager for our client in Wilmington, NC. As a Purchasing Manager, you will plan, direct, and coordinate the company’s purchasing and ERP needs, collaborating closely with the CEO, manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support operational and customer requirements while achieving quality and cost objectives. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Benefits Package Competitive salary Comprehensive health benefits, including telehealth medical services 401(k) retirement plan Opportunities for career advancement Paid time off Shift Information Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or an associate degree with equivalent experience) 5–10 years of experience in a procurement/manufacturing environment Proven experience supervising and managing procurement teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Excel, ERP systems, and Crystal Reports Strong negotiation and supply chain management skills Experience sourcing metal, plastics, and custom manufacturing components General Requirements Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to read and interpret technical specifications Analytical skills to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages Preferred Requirements CPIM certification is a plus Experience with logistics and freight movement Knowledge of TS 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards Essential Functions Lead, manage, and develop the purchasing team Oversee ERP material planning with ECI ERP software Develop and execute corporate purchasing strategies and procedures Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency Negotiate contracts to improve lead times, pricing, and delivery terms Analyze operational costs to optimize performance in competitive markets Provide purchasing support for engineering, R&D, and new product launches Ensure compliance with ISO and TS standards, participating in audits as required Lead annual inventory initiatives and continuous improvement activities

Work Environment or Working Conditions

Responsibilities may be performed in an office or manufacturing setting, with occasional visits to supplier facilities or trade shows.

Physical Demands

This position may require:

Sitting for extended periods Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Frequent use of a computer and telephone

Travel

Occasional travel to supplier sites or industry events may be required.
