Mountain View Hospital is looking for an Purchasing Informatics Tech to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY: 

Responsible for preparing cycle count aisles, taking physical counts, recording counts, and recounting variances within the assigned cycle count area. Maintains Cerner and Oracle Software programs

The buyer is responsible for the procurement, processing and review of all medical and non-medical purchases. These purchases will be made at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, service and company procedures. Also,they will be responsible for preparing cycle count aisles, taking physical counts, recording counts, and recounting variances within the assigned cycle count area. Maintains Cerner and Oracle Software programs along with capsure, syft, ghx, or kermit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Purchasing Informatics Tech
1. Reviews with manager stock requirement levels and usage to assure appropriate inventory
levels in main storeroom.
2. Insures that all stock and non-stock orders are placed in a timely and accurate manner. This
would be completed according to the order schedule provided by the manager of the
department.
3. Utilizes purchasing contracts and agreements in an effort to reduce costs and maintains
product standardization.
4. Will not share confidential information pertaining to contracts and agreements.
5. Assists any hospital personnel or physician in locating required and approved supplies.
6. Assists the manger in coordinating and reviewing new and old products used by the hospital
to evaluate inventory dollars and quantity on hand.
7. Assists in reviewing and resolving all back order information and communicating the status to
the requesting department.
8. Assists with quarterly and year end inventories.
9. Assists the manger with educating/training of designated ordering personnel.
10. Resolves problems regarding order delivery, damaged shipments, shipping errors, etc.
11. Assists accounts payable personnel with resulting billing issues.
12. Is courteous and informative in all working relationships.
13. Other duties as assigned by the materials manager.
