**EchoStar** has an exciting opportunity in our **Hughes Network Systems** division for a **Purchasing Intern** . This position will be located at our **Germantown, MD** office. **Responsibilities:** + Actively participate and assist with all Buyer activities. + Assist in the procurement and on-time delivery of production material needed to support our multiple product lines, all of which are built at our factory located in Germantown, MD. + With guidance, established network of contacts and suppliers, Buyer shall and negotiate pricing and delivery requirements for a wide range of electronic components. + Negotiations for secure supply and cost reductions with the existing supply base, as well as; + Identify alternate suppliers to achieve the same goals. **Basic Requirements:** + Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field + 60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2025 + 3.0 GPA or above **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with SAP as our ERP system and Microsoft Office as our productivity suite.
