Summary: Seeking a Purchasing/Materials Manager to oversee strategic procurement activities, manage vendors, and supervise purchasing operations.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or equivalent.

US Citizenship (due to government-related work).

Minimum 10 years of directly applicable experience.

Proven experience as a purchasing manager, agent, or officer.

Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.

Experience with ERP systems and vendor management software.

Strong leadership capabilities and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills:

Interest in market dynamics and strong business sense.

Excellent negotiation and networking abilities.

Ability to gather and analyze data effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.

Track key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.

Partner with stakeholders for clear requirements documentation.

Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, risk assessment, and mitigation.

Identify dependable suppliers with improved costing structures.

Determine delivery quantities and timing; monitor upcoming demand levels.

Oversee receiving, inventory stocking, kitting operations, and delivery to the shop floor.

Manage buyers and inventory specialists.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
