Lead the Materials Management team for multiple sites/businesses for MFT America’s in a dynamic environment. This role will interface with all leadership levels within the organization pertaining to all aspects of Raw Material Supply as well as buy to sell. Lead, establish, and align your team to utilize best practices that optimize our working capital / inventory, minimizing supply chain disruptions, consistently improve lead-times and reduce excess and obsolescence from the supply base.
What You’ll Do
Provide leadership and direction to the supply chain buying team, establishing a culture of high performing individuals, including performance management, development, mentoring, talent and succession planning.
Manage all direct material and MRO buying activities from procurement to payment, including timely PO placement, receiving and inventory discrepancy resolution, and invoice reconciliation.
Work across multiple sites/businesses, with peers to develop and implement best practice procurement strategies, standardizing policies, processes and procedures to promote optimization and alignment of Supply Chain processes.
Optimize the utilization of the ERP system through Lean strategies including Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to drive highest delivery service levels and best practice inventory management processes optimizing inventory levels measured through Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH).
Enable revenue plan through ownership of Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Supply Planning process in conjunction with operations and commercial demand planning team.
Develop supplier relationships, measuring and managing supplier performance through key performance indicators: On Time Delivery (OTD), Average Weighted Lead Time (AWLT), downtime, responsiveness.
Partner with internal stakeholders across organization, including operations and engineering, using your expertise to provide the best overall value to the business. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure that sourcing strategies align with company objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Management, or an equivalent field.
ASCM, CPIM certification preferred
5+ years of professional procurement related experience, including international.
3+ years’ experience in managing a team of individuals demonstrating consistently improved performance.
Demonstrated leadership ability, technical knowledge of professional procurement, strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to plan, organize, and manage complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to work in and indirectly influence a cross-functional team at all organizational levels ensuring the right solutions for the business.
Continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach to problem solving
Provide clear and concise data analysis to drive quick and correct decision-making
Intermediate to advanced user of Power BI, Microsoft Excel highly desirable
Work under limited direction.
