Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services at the best possible price, while maintaining quality standards and aligning with company needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and experience in vendor management to optimize cost and delivery timeliness.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies to meet organizational goals, including cost reduction initiatives and supplier diversification.Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with potential suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing and contract terms.Analyze market trends, cost structures, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.Regularly review purchasing metrics (e.g., cost saving, quality, and delivery) to identify areas for improvement.Manage and develop a purchasing team, assigning tasks and providing guidance.Essential SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers.In-depth knowledge of market trends and industry standards.Expertise in negotiation and contract management.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, advanced Excel, and intermediate PowerPoint.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement with demonstrated success in vendor management and contract negotiation.Automotive experience is a must-have.Experience managing people would be beneficial.Work Environment
This role is based in an office space at a manufacturing plant.
