procurement process. + **Sourcing** : Utilize purchasing systems to support the Request For Quote process, establish Total Cost of Ownership comparisons, and select suppliers that best meet Cummins’ and customers’ needs. + **Supplier Contract Development** : Develop comprehensive contracts that cover commercial and legal relationships, incorporating regional requirements and driving stakeholder engagement through the Supplier Agreement Contracting Process (SACP). + **Supplier Relationship Management** : Define and manage relationships with key/strategic suppliers using the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process, fostering collaboration and delivering value. + **Supplier Tooling Management** : Manage supplier tooling strategies to ensure accurate pricing and continuity of supply, leveraging Cummins-owned tooling procedures and maintaining inventory records. + **Supply Base Risk Management** : Proactively mitigate supplier risks using risk analysis tools and a risk mitigation playbook, managing continuity of supply, reputational risk, and margin risks through dual sourcing and other strategies. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** + College, university or equivalent degree in a related business field such as supply chain management required. + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** + Significant level of relevant work experience required. **Additional Responsibilities/Information:** + **This role is a hybrid position where the applicant will be required to work in our Troy, MI office 3 days per week.** + Develops and implements global supply base for Meritor’s Driveline Business. + Manage team of approximately 3 to 4 direct reports (buyers) **Additional Qualifications:** + 5 Years of Purchasing Experience in a direct material buying or commodity management role required. **QUALIFICATIONS (nice to have):** + Ability to select, lead, evaluate, and develop employees. + Ability to track and analyze financial results of sourcing strategies. + Global manufacturing and supply base knowledge. + Able to analyze and interpret market data. + Commodity cost driver knowledge.
