Purchasing Specialist - 50K - 60K

Purchasing Specialist needed for a commercial floor manufacturer in south Charlotte. Company is rapidly growing and looking to expand their team. PAy: 50K - 60K. Contract to Hire

RESPONSIBILITIES

Purchasing Agents work and negotiate with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company they represent. This role may have the following duties and responsibilities:

Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteriaInterviewing vendors to learn about products, services and pricingNegotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the companyVerifying purchases by comparing them to a primary list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant productsInteracting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errorsAuthorizing payments and maintain receipts, records and inventoriesMaintain and Update Inventory counts monthly.

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to look at situations from several points of view. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excels at operating in a fast paced, community environment High comfort level working in a diverse environment
