PURCHASING SPECIALIST, MRO – BINH DUONG, VIETNAM

The Job:
As a Purchasing Specialist, MRO, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of MRO materials to support the efficient functioning of our manufacturing plant. This role involves sourcing suppliers, managing MRO inventory levels, and working closely with the maintenance and operations teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of necessary materials.
Location: VSIP1, No. 35, Independent Avenue, Binh Hoa Ward, Thuan An, Binh Duong, Vietnam.
Working hours: 5 days/48 hours/week.
Supplier Sourcing and Management:
Source suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logistical expenses.Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships to ensure good communication and reliable supply chains.Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers.Order Tracking and Delivery:
Track orders to ensure correct and timely delivery of MRO materials.Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.Address any issues related to delivery delays or discrepancies.Quality and Production Collaboration:
Collaborate with quality and production departments on all rejected parts and work with vendors to receive corrected components.Ensure that all MRO materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.Problem Solving and Reporting:
Control and solve problems in the purchase process and report to the supervisor for on-time, in-full (OTIF) resolutions.Provide timely updates on MRO material status and potential shortages to the maintenance team.Compliance and Procedures:
Ensure compliance with all procedures within the company’s purchasing and accounting policies.Implement inventory control procedures to prevent excess stock and obsolescence of MRO materials.Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline MRO material planning processes and improve efficiency.Implement best practices in MRO material planning and inventory management.Participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and cost savings.Other assignments by Line Manager.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Experiences:
Minimum 3 years of experience in MRO material planning, inventory management, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge about manufacturing machines/ equipment is a plus.Skills:
Proficiency in SAP system and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.Other requirements:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.Frequent visits to the production floor and supplier sites are required.And more:
