Purchasing Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Purchasing Specialist** to join our team. This role is responsible for managing purchasing, inventory, and warehouse coordination, ensuring smooth operations and efficient supply chain management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Purchasing:** + Create purchase orders from department requisitions and place orders with vendors. + Manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs), confirmations, Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), and follow up to ensure timely delivery. 1. **Receiving:** 2. 3. Verify and receive incoming raw material orders. 4. Scan and file certifications to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. 5. **Inventory Management:** 6. 7. Conduct weekly inventory checks and make necessary adjustments. 8. Reconcile inventory records for accuracy and accountability. 9. **Warehouse Coordination:** 10. 11. Manage inventory reconciliation, dock appointments, and truck scheduling. 12. Conduct warehouse visits and ensure proper labeling of products. 13. **Incoming Freight Management:** 14. 15. Collaborate with brokers and customs for import shipments. 16. Schedule freight from the port to ensure timely delivery. 17. **Service Contract Coordination:** 18. 19. Oversee service contracts such as pest control, waste pickup, lawn maintenance, and snow plowing. 20. **Office and Building Supplies:** 21. 22. Order office and building supplies to maintain operational efficiency. **Qualifications:** 23. Prior experience in purchasing, inventory, or logistics roles is preferred. 24. Strong organizational and time management skills. 25. Proficiency in inventory management and procurement software is an asset. 26. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. 27.
