The Purchasing Specialist is responsible is responsible for processing IT equipment and other technology-related fixed assets in support of Lithia & Driveway. Focused on all IT related equipment purchases, software licensing, shipments, reporting, support ticket tracking and communication with all stores and Support Services. Including adding back up for fixed asset invoices and basic coding for billing. The Purchasing Specialist has an increased focused in purchasing IT equipment in support of Lithia & Driveway’s acquisitions and projects. The technology Purchasing Specialist is expected to work independently and efficiently throughout the day. They are the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies pertaining to the purchasing processes and procedures at Lithia & Driveway.
Responsibilities
Process requests for IT Equipment – generates & gathers appropriate documentationReviews daily emails, organizes and plans day based on urgency & prioritiesAssists stores and employees with questions regarding the fixed asset processes and procedures. Ensures proper approval and documentation is gathered prior to issuing a purchase orderProcesses and sets up fixed assets in the correct systems and spreadsheets, understanding of computer services logCommunicates with internal and external customers to provide tracking and updates in a timely mannerAbility to communicate with supervisors and managers to obtain proper approval for large expenses or projectsProvides guidance on purchasing portal, items available, and how to order or request new itemsWorks with internal IT teams to support project purchasing for new and existing locationsPractice a strong understanding of Lithia’s purchasing practices and related systemsProcessing of package received and shipping of equipmentSkills and Qualifications
