A global manufacturing leader is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their business unit in Haverhill, MA. What Youโll Do:
๐น Ensure all purchased costs are up to date and vendors meet quality and delivery commitments
๐น Lead inventory management, including overseeing regular physical inventories
๐น Monitor and adjust purchased inventory levels using ERP data and sales forecasts
๐น Research and source cost-effective local products to optimize savings
๐น Develop specifications for equipment, products, and substitute materials
๐น Manage quote requests, requisitions, and purchase orders
๐น Negotiate contracts and policies with suppliers
๐น Track purchase orders and report shortages in regular meetings
๐น Collaborate with Accounting & Management to resolve payment issues and prevent delays
๐น Assist in developing and administering company purchasing policies
๐น Support the Continuous Improvement Program related to procured products and services
๐น Work with Management to set long-range goals and track KPIs

Requirements
What You Bring:
โ Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
โ Strong inventory management and ERP system experience -- preferably NetSuite
โ Ability to analyze product demand trends and adjust purchasing strategies
โ Skilled in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships
โ Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
โ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
