Job Description Supervises a team of Buyers directly that covers a Project or Internal Support function. Assists in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of new team members. Collaborates with Buyers on a daily basis to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Identifies and offers solutions to any issues to the Purchasing Manager and/or Director. Responsible for subcontract review of non-union requests, bond reviews, and redline review/negotiations. Understand and resolve billing disputes between Project Managers and suppliers. Escalating to Sales and Purchasing leadership as needed. Work to manage the process of mitigating delays, properly notifying suppliers of their responsibilities from a cost perspective relative to supplier caused issues.
