The Business Supply Chain Analyst is a key contributor to the organization by providing analytical and operational support to the Supply Chain team. The analyst works with Purchasing management to develop new analytical reports and tools that are presented to the Executive team. The analyst will be expected to synthesize large quantities of purchasing related data from various purchasing/finance systems into actionable qualitative and quantitative analyses. This position will help support the Oracle Financials Purchasing process both operationally and via newly created analytics. This will ensure that the ships receive exactly what they are requesting from the Purchasing team. This position will support the ongoing operation of the Oracle IProcurement Requisition system (including Punchouts) and the Oracle Financials Purchasing system.
Job Functions:
Define, evaluate, and analyze purchasing data for Purchasing Management team and for Executive presentations. Interpret data and present results in a clear and concise way – provide concrete and factual conclusions supported by data analysis. Develop Oracle Purchasing and Oracle Iprocurement (including Punchouts) process improvements, analytics, communications and operational improvements Responsible for data maintenance process improvements, analytics, communications, and operations Participate in system upgrades and testing. Responsible for updating series of Procurement documents. Perform other job-related functions as assigned by the Director, Supply Chain Follow Purchasing department guidelines & procedures and identify areas of improvement Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standardsQualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or finance required Work Experience: 3+ years relevant work experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency in Oracle Financials or similar database systems. Proficiency in Tableau. Supply Chain systems, Oracle.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to critically think, problem solve, and perform analysis. Highly analytical and detail oriented with a strong business sense. Ability to manage multiple projects to completion, coordinate action plans, and implement actionable strategies. Ability to adapt easily to change in dynamic environment.Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended period of time.
Travel: Less than 25% travel ship based
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May be requested to work a different shift.
This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
