About the Mercury Marine Opportunity

The Supply Chain/Operations Co-op joins a community of talent that is #1 in its industry at Mercury Marine. Located in Fond du Lac, WI, this role reports to the Category Manager for MRO and Services.

As a Supply Chain/Operations COOP you will work collaboratively and independently with highly qualified supply chain professionals who are responsible for managing supplier partners who contribute to the production and manufacture of outboard and sterndrive motors for the recreational and commercial boating industry.

As the Supply Chain/Operations CO-OP at Mercury Marine, you will

Analyze current material flow within a process or operation to develop and implement improvements, eliminate waste, and streamline operations

Process weekly MRP and initiate corrective actions as needed to ensure accurate ordering standards and effective inventory control

Develop cost effective inventory management practices and reduce inventory through implementation of pull, VMI, or consignment programs

Assess delivery data status, supplier performance, parts deployment, inventory policies and/or continuous improvement efforts

Investigate and resolve invoicing issues to maintain positive supplier relationships, ensure future material deliveries, maintain required production levels and provide feedback to management regarding any process or system issues

What are we looking for in you?

Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Operations or Procurement

Technical savvy: proficiency using Microsoft Suite (e.g. Excel and Word) is necessary

Strong decision making, organizational and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome unforeseen obstacles
