Description Our client, a reputable consumer products company that partners with big box retailers located near Parsippany N has a great opportunity for a Purchasing Support Specialist to join their expanding team. Responsibilities of Purchasing Support Specialist include but are not limited to: + Cultivate and sustain strong, trustworthy client relationships + Oversee multiple accounts + Market inventory to big box retailers + Coordinate trade show exhibits, displays, signage, and marketing materials + Handle customer returns, defectives, and process credits + Investigate and review customer deductions + Leverage resources to evaluate potential new customers + Track and report weekly sales metrics + Negotiate new sales opportunities, pricing, and terms + Prepare cost analysis and retail strategies + Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively + Assist in accounts receivable + Manage inventory across multiple warehouse locations + Oversee logistics including shipping products to customers and transferring products between warehouses + Working closely with overseas vendors on pricing and product sourcing Requirements Candidates applying to this position are required to have experience working in consumer products as well as experience partnering with BIG BOX retailers. This is a blended role in sales support and purchasing so prior knowledge in both of these areas within the CPG industry is absolutely required.
