Job DescriptionReporting To: Head of Energy & Climate Protection
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Lead and manage Company’s key business area, overseeing projects from early stages through to commissioning.Develop and mentor junior staff, fostering growth within the business unit.Provide technical guidance and support as required.Project Delivery Excellence
Ensure projects meet Company’s standards for quality, timeline, and budget, adhering to the Integrated Management System (IMS).Plan, organize, and allocate resources in line with project schedules.Collaborate with Company’s engineering department and other global offices to exchange personnel and technical expertise.Collaboration & Integration
Coordinate with other sustainable energy components (e.g., hydrogen, wind) for integrated energy solutions.Participate in client meetings, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure client satisfaction.Project Management
Act as Project Manager for selected assignments.Support business development through technical inputs for proposals, including execution strategies, schedules, and deliverables.Compliance & Reporting
Regularly report project progress and address potential issues with management.Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards as per IMS guidelines.QualificationsExperience & Qualifications
Technical Experience
Minimum 10 years in engineering and consulting roles as a Lead Engineer or Expert in major projects.Managerial Experience
At least 5 years in a Department Manager or equivalent role.Education
Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Electrical/Energy Engineering; Master’s degree (MSc) is a plus.Languages
Proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.Additional InformationCompetency Requirements
Technical Expertise
Extensive knowledge of Solar Power (PV) and Middle Eastern markets.Proven expertise in PV Power Plants (PVPP) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).Experience in commissioning PVPP and BESS with a strong understanding of HSSE standards and safety best practices.Knowledge of risk assessment tools (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, PRA).Proficiency in grid impact assessments and technical interface understanding between PV, BESS, and other systems.Project Management & Contracts
Expertise in engineering and consultancy contract models.Understanding of project control methods (WBS, CWBS, invoicing, progress evaluation).Skilled in preparing engineering budgets and managing procurement and subcontractor agreements.Quality & Communication
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Proven ability to lead and manage teams, motivate staff, and mentor juniors.Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.Software Proficiency
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).Knowledge of MS Project scheduling and understanding of Primavera P6 schedules.
