Consolidate, upgrade, and maintain Front Office pricing spreadsheets and other Front Office tools using Python.Use Python and Excel to ensure feasibility and performance.Apply knowledge of linear algebra and optimization to solving and optimizing fixed income pricing and risk problems.Confer with Front Office stakeholders directly to understand users’ requirements, conduct system feasibility determination, identity issues, and iterate on solutions.Build new platform and features in Python to replace and improve current spreadsheet application functionality.Conduct ad-hoc application development and analysis as delegated by the team lead.Use analytic skills and knowledge of financial instruments to build best-in-class solutions.Ensure that the critical application tools used by Front Office continue to provide leading-edge solutions and the flexibility that users require, while remaining stable and efficient to manage.Responsible for ensuring that all Barclays Standards are met across the SDLC..
