CGI is looking for a python developer for designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications and tools This position is located in our Strongsville, OH office with work performed at client site in Strongsville, OH; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** • Experience with Python framework and designing and writing integrations. • Experience with API development and microservices architecture. • Good experience in data exploration and analysis using Python • Strong understanding of software development best practices, including design patterns, testing, and debugging. • Application Development: Design, code, and test Python applications that deliver efficient and reliable solutions for various business needs. • Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Python applications with other systems, APIs, and data sources. • Code Maintenance: Maintain, refactor, and update existing Python codebases to ensure they remain efficient, secure, and aligned with evolving business requirements. • Data exploration and analysis using Python • Version Control: Utilize version control systems to manage code changes, collaborate with team members, and track progress. • Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including code comments and system architecture diagrams. • Agile Development: Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** • 6+ years of IT experience. • 6+ years of demonstrated technical proficiency with Python related projects. • Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects showcasing your skills. • Proficiency in writing efficient and maintainable Python code. • Experience with Panadas, Numpy, SciKit libraries. • Experience with web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask). • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server). • Very strong in technical concepts, Analytical and Problem-solving skills, with ability to confidently interact with other client-side teams. • Understanding of software development best practices and Agile methodologies.
