Python Software Engineer, Financial Models (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office)

Our Impact:

The Investments and Capital Markets (I&CM) division is responsible for management of the retained portfolio as well as Freddie Mac's debt funding, liquidity management and interest-rate hedging. The division is also responsible for I&CM securitization.

Your Impact:

The selected candidate will combine strong software development, and collaboration skills to help build high-performance, scalable and fault tolerant solutions.

Qualifications:

5-7+ years of relevant professional experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Strong programming experience of developing and testing in Python

4+ years of demonstrated experience developing RESTful APIs using framework such as Flask, FastAPI etc. in a professional environment

Experience writing automated unit, integration, regression, performance and acceptance tests

Working Knowledge of automated CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, docker

Solid understanding of software design principles

Back End Skills: Python, Flask/FastAPI/Django, Pandas, NumPy and Relational Database

Automation Testing: pytest, unitest, monkey patch, pytest-mockito etc.

Build CI/CD Tools: gradle, Jenkins, git, Conda, pip, Jira, Gitlab, Confluence

DevOps: Linux and Docker

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $122,000 - $182,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
